I went to Bolton Library Lecture Theatre last night to view the first two one-hour episodes of Nick Wilding's documentary films, advertised both on this site and The Octagon Theatre's website, and really enjoyed the evening. I will definitely be going to the remaining four nights which are on each Thursday in March. I was, however, surprised to see so few people there, only twenty or thirty, bearing in mind what a popular figure Fred was and still is, especially in his home town of Bolton. I can recommend these films to all fellow Fred Dibnah fans, as they show footage that I certainly have not seen before, and they capture Fred's character, his sense of humour, and his total lust for life.
