Hi Eric

Which series are you looking for exactly?

Some were bundled with latter DVD releases, some are available in non-legal format after someone recorded them from the TV into VHS and then transferred them to DVD. The latter pop-up on eBay quite regularly. Let me know and I'll see if I can track down the ones you are after.

Hi

I would like to purchase, on dvd, the orignal [1979?] 1 hour documentary "Fred Dibnah – Steeplejack" and the 6 x 30 minute episodes of the follow up series [1994?] ["A Year With Fred Dibnah"?]

Have you any idea if it is possible to purchase them anywhere?

Kind Regards

Peter Martin

Hi Peter

As I understand it, neither of the two programs/series you mention are officially available for sale.

The first is available from 'unofficial' sources. One enterprising person has converted "Fred Dibnah – Steeplejack" from VHS tape and uploaded to YouTube, while others are also selling this program converted onto DVD via eBay (use the link in the post above to search for it), again unfortunately technically it's an illegal copy.

I've not seen "A Year With Fred" available through any channels, official or not. It's one of the early programs I don't have a copy of.

I am trying to find some info about Fred filming at The Revo Electric Company in Tipton, West Midlands in the 70's.
He filmed my dad at work as a boiler stoker there and we have never seen it.

Thanks
