I went on a tour of the heritage centre last Thursday and I have to say I was sceptical at first. Then once we arrived and were greeted and introduced to our tour guide, we were both blown away by the experience. The commitment of the staff is overwhelming and I have never met anybody who knew so much about another person as our tour guide did about FD. I'm not sure if it's a pseudonym but we were introduced to 'big dave' who went on to lead us on a journey through FD's life, telling tales of his bravery, craftsmanship and his reluctance to pay for anything! I wondered if anybody else had been on the tour from here and if so, what their thoughts were? If not, is anybody planning to go? I can highly recommend it if there are any sceptics!
